The FSSAI license is based on three types: registration, state and central licence. FSSAI license to run food businesses.
- Small food business operators with a sales volume of up to 12 Lakhs per annum shall have FSSAI Registration.
- If their annual turnover exceeds Rs.12 Lakhs and the business is in only one state, the State License may be obtained.
- To determine which food companies are required to obtain a Central License, they must examine the Regulations of Schedule I of Food Safety and Norms, 2011.
Registration in obligatory for any type of food establishment. Within 7 days, the Food Officer decides to authorize the registration. In the case of a small company with an annual turnover of less than 12 lakhs, licensing may not be necessary. If the FSSAI Authority does not take any action (including refusal or authorization) within 7 days the company can begin. But you must decide to come and check your premises at any time by the FSSAI authority in your local area that is in Pune city. There is a single registration number.
The Commanding Officer shall visit the business and premises for any Food business in Pune city, which exceeds the turnover of Rs. 12 lakhs and approve or deny the license within 30 days of the given request date. This is required before you can begin business in major food industries, food packages, chain restaurants, etc. There is a single FSSAI license in Pune city.
